FABRICATION WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR

We are currently seeking an experienced hands-on Fabrication Workshop Supervisor.

The role will involve analysing engineering drawings, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare cost estimates for products, projects and services. Supervise and manage the day to day running of the fabrication & maintenance workshop.

This is a varied role, some duties and responsibilities include:

  • Review of project specifications to determine material and labour requirements
  • Liaise and work alongside the Engineering, Sales and Operations team to pro-actively seek solutions for timely and compliant jobs
  • Identify and grade potential risks and assess all potential non conformances
  • Calculate estimation costing's
  • Adhere to all Internal Continuous Improvement Processes
  • Ensure internal and external customers are kept up to date with accurate and relevant information as required
The successful applicant will ideally possess:
  • Must be Trade Qualified in a fabrication trade
  • Steel Fabrication experience
  • Computer Literacy essential and Basic Drafting Skills Advantageous
  • Solid knowledge of metal fabrication parts and moulded parts of different materials
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the business
  • Desirable Mining Industry experience
  • Improve workshop profitability through implementation of world's best workshop practices.

We are currently seeking an experienced Boilermakers, Fabricators

Must have
  • Trade Qualifications is a must.
  • Competent with all aspects of fabrication & repair work, pipes, chutes, bins etc.
  • Attention to detail, pride in producing good quality work with minimum supervision 
  • Initially workshop Work, however site/shutdown work will be available for the right person
  • Expressions of interest for upcoming shutdown work only is also available.
